Inclusion Criteria:

• Major depression

Exclusion Criteria:

• Allergy towards pindolol, venlafaxine or other tablet constituents

• Liver or kidney impairment

• Diabetics

• Age below 18 years

• Severe cardiac disease

• Asthma.
