Inclusion Criteria:

- vaginal bleeding and contractions consistent with suspected placental abruption between
24 and 34 weeks gestation.

Exclusion Criteria:

- preterm labor, severe bleeding necessitating immediate delivery, maternal coagulopathy,
fetal distress
