Summary
Gelatin tannate possesses astringent, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. It is
increasingly being marketed as an antidiarrheal drug. A randomized, double blind,
placebo-control trial was performed to assess the effectiveness of GT in management of
children with acute gastroenteritis.
