Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:

• Type 2 diabetes

• 1-3 oral treatments

• Insulin naive

• BMI (Body Mass Index) less than or equal to 45

Exclusion Criteria:

• Pregnancy

• Retinopathy

• Cardiac disease

• Uncontrolled hypertension

• Recurrent hypoglycaemia
