To determine whether a dietary supplement of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) derived from fish oil would decrease the restenosis rate in patients undergoing percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA).

Criteria
Men and women with coronary heart disease in the native coronary arteries. Patients were
symptomatic or had 50 percent or greater stenosis as defined by coronary angiography.

Patients had not undergone prior angioplasty.
