Summary
Delirium is common in the elderly after orthopedic surgery and is associated with worse
outcomes. The investigators hypothesize that, for elderly patients after orthopedic surgery,
dexmedetomidine supplemented intravenous analgesia can reduce the incidence of delirium and
improve the long-term outcomes.
