Criteria
Inclusion Criteria:

- Hepatic cirrhosis or portal hypertension

- Hepatic Encephalopathy

Exclusion Criteria:

- Acute liver failure

- Neuropsychiatric diseases

- Inflammatory bowel diseases

- Intestinal obstruction

- Shock

- Renal insufficiency

- Alcoholic hepatitis

- Alcohol abuse

- Antibiotic premedication
