Summary
To evaluate if use of an implantable cardiac defibrillator (ICD) results in reduction in
total mortality, when compared with conventional pharmacological therapy, in patients
resuscitated from sudden cardiac death who are otherwise at very high risk of mortality from
arrhythmic causes.
