Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:

• 1. Children of 12-14 years of age. 2. Presence of gingivitis-calculus, and plaque (gingival index [GI]score ≥1/plaque index [PI] score ≥1).

3. Children willing to participate. 4. Children whose parents/caretakers gave informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

1. Children having fixed or removable orthodontic appliances or removable prostheses.

2. Children suffering from any systemic illness.

3. Children who were already using mouthwashes.

4. History of oral prophylaxis within 6 months.

5. Children using any other oral hygiene aids.
