Criteria
Inclusion Criteria:

- diagnosed with bacterial conjunctivitis

Exclusion Criteria:

- chemical or foreign body trauma to either eye

- infection in either eye (besides bacterial conjunctivitis)

- white spots in the cornea or ulcers in either eye

- clinical diagnosis of chlamydia or gonorrhea in either eye
